We get this question a lot! Every therapist has a different approach to the practice of therapy. With our psychoanalytic approach, we have a requirement of meeting at least once a week but do regularly see patients twice a week.
With deeper oriented therapy, the more sessions the deeper we can go. Less than once a week can make it difficult to get traction into understanding your mind. Not only does it make it hard for the therapist to get to know your mind and patterns, but it also can make it more harder for you to feel comfortable settling into the session.
